Managing Your Subscription and Billing

View your plan usage, update payment methods, and manage your subscription.

Viewing your current plan and usage

To check your plan details and interview usage:

  1. Go to Settings in the left sidebar.

  2. Scroll to the Plan and usage section (visible to organization owners).

  3. You'll see:

  • Your current plan name and features.

  • Team seats used — How many of your included seats are in use.

  • Included interviews — Interviews used this period vs. your plan's allowance.

  • Overage interviews — Any additional interviews beyond your included amount.

A summary also appears on the overview card on the Interviews page.

Managing billing through Stripe

TalentSprout uses Stripe for payment processing. To manage your payment method, view invoices, or update billing details:

  1. Go to Settings > Plan and usage.

  2. Click Manage billing.

  3. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can:

  • Update your payment method — Add or change your credit card.

  • View invoices — Download past invoices as PDF.

  • Update billing info — Change your billing email or address.

  • Cancel your subscription — End your plan at the end of the current billing period.

💡

Good to know: The Stripe portal is a secure, hosted page managed by Stripe. TalentSprout does not store your full credit card details.

Trial to paid conversion

When your 7-day free trial ends:

  1. You'll see a prompt to select a plan and enter payment details.

  2. Choose Starter or Growth and complete the Stripe checkout.

  3. Your subscription starts immediately and renews monthly.

If you don't subscribe when the trial expires, you'll be redirected to the upgrade page until you choose a plan.

What happens when your trial ends

  • Your existing data (interviews, candidates, recordings, evaluations) is preserved.

  • Dashboard access is restricted — you'll be prompted to subscribe before continuing.

  • New candidates cannot start interviews until you have an active subscription.

  • Once you subscribe, full access resumes immediately.

⚠️

Important: Your data is never deleted when a trial expires or a subscription is canceled. Everything is preserved and accessible once you resubscribe.

Canceling your subscription

To cancel:

  1. Go to Settings > Plan and usage.

  2. Click Manage billing to open the Stripe portal.

  3. Cancel your subscription through the Stripe portal.

Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account returns to a limited state similar to an expired trial.

Reactivating after cancellation

If you change your mind after canceling, you can resubscribe at any time:

  1. Go to Settings > Plan and usage.

  2. Click Change plan and select your plan.

  3. Complete checkout.

All your data is preserved and available immediately after reactivating.
